The Campaign for High School Equity (CHSE) was formed in June of 2007 by the nation's leading civil rights organizations to address the inequalities within the American public high school education system, which does not provide high-quality education to students of color and youth from low-income communities.

Over the ensuing years, CHSE has harnessed the power of the 21st century civil rights movement to make an impact on public education policy at every level.
